From a Redmond garage to five offices
2000–2004
Start-up years
Founded in the garage of a modest house in Redmond, with the first engineering center opening in Mumbai the same year. By 2004 The Seattle Times featured the company on its front page as a global technology services provider.
Foundation for Excellence set up in India in 2001 to promote math and science education for girls.
2006–2011
Growth years
A new engineering center in Hyderabad brought the team closer to Microsoft, and an owned center followed in 2009. Inc. magazine named the company to its inaugural Inc. 5000 list in 2007 and every year through 2011.
EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2010.
2013–2021
Expansion years
Two books by Rajeev Agarwal were published by Penguin Random House, the first a national bestseller. India Academy opened in 2019 to support students in government-aided schools in Uttar Pradesh.
Global Microsoft Power BI Partner of the Year in 2021, the same year construction began on the Noida AI engineering center.
2022–2025
Accelerating growth
The Noida engineering center opened in 2022 and was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2025. India Academy grew to serve 200,000 students across 27 districts, and India Eye Hospital opened in Greater Noida.
Twenty-fifth anniversary in 2025, alongside a 12th Inc. 5000 recognition.

Certifications
Information security. The only auditable international standard for Information Security Management Systems, protecting information assets through proportionate controls.
An extension of ISO/IEC 27001 covering the establishment and continual improvement of a Privacy Information Management System.
Cloud security. A code of practice for protecting personally identifiable information in public cloud environments, based on ISO/IEC 27002.
